Holy Week begins this year with Palm Sunday on March 29th with a 9:30 a.m. service and procession of palms.

On Thursday, April 2nd, our Maundy Thursday service with communion is at 5:30 p.m.

On Friday, April 3rd, our Good Friday Tenabrae service is at 7:00 p.m.

Easter Sunday, April 5th, there will be three services: 7:00 a.m. Sunrise service outside in the Courtyard, 8:30 & 10:30 a.m. Joyous Easter Celebration in the Sanctuary.

In 2025, as in 2024, we partnered with Grace Place to provide school back-packs to the children they service. We collected donated needed materials, and on Palm Sunday after service we packed the back-packs to give to Grace Place.

During season, October through April, many from SOTG gather on Tuesday mornings to work on quilts for donation to St. Matthew’s House and the Center for Abused Women and Children, while enjoying light refreshments and fellowship.

Our Social Concerns Committee on an ongoing basis collects food items which are then taken on a regular basis to either Immokalee Friendship House, St. Matthew’s House, or Grace Place. Your contributions may be placed at in the Narthex. Suggested food items include canned food, powdered milk, peanut butter, jam, cereal, soups, rice, and pasta.
